In
this engaging and interactive e-learning course, students learn about the topic
of pedestrian safety. As they navigate the course, they learn how to safely
cross the street, including how to choose the safest route when crossing. Other
important topics include how to use caution around driveways, alleys, and
railroad tracks, the importance of removing distractions while walking, and how
to be a role model for correct pedestrian safety behaviors for younger
children. The video-based lesson is reinforced with a fun, online game. A
pre-test assesses students’ current knowledge, while a post-test measures what
they have learned throughout the program.
