Act Now! Staff Training
School
staff will work both independently and together to create a bully-free school.
This interactive e-learning program, designed to complement the student Act
Now! online courses and the parent resource, ParentsActNow.com, allows school
staff and administrators to complete the course content on their own, online,
and includes guidelines for conducting a school-wide bullying survey. Following
the online portion of the course, there is one, 90-minute all-staff meeting, in
which the online course and bullying survey will be reviewed, and staff will
work together to create a school-wide campaign, from identifying major bullying
issues and developing action plans, to creating classroom culture statements and
learning how to implement a student-led campaign. Ideas for further follow-up
work and how to address new staff are also included.
