This self-directed course helps 8th grade students learn more about different types of bullying and its effects through virtual conversations with teachers and educational videos and lessons. Through the online and offline lessons and activities, students will learn strategies for improving their school’s environment. Students in this Wisconsin and National Health Education Standards-aligned course will also participate in activities about the transition from middle to high school that focus on addressing fears, rumors, and myths about high school. They will also learn how to handle a heavier work load, stay organized and navigate new social pressures.
